Level 3 – Sports Injury Management for Schools
Who Is The Course Aimed At?
This course is aimed at school nursing and medical staff.
Its core objectives are to:
- Give you knowledge and confidence to accurately diagnose and manage sporting injuries that present specifically in the school environment
- Be an interactive and practical teaching day.
- Include teaching on; head injuries & concussion, common sporting injuries, and how to deal with trauma and fractures.
- Provide you with a comprehensive booklet which has all course information, and numerous CPD documentation opportunities.

Level 2 – Sports Injury Management for Schools
Who Is The Course Aimed At?
This course is aimed at school nursing and medical staff who have already completed the level 3 course.
Its core objectives are to:
- Build on previous knowledge acquired in the level 3 course to consolidate knowledge in accurately diagnosing and managing sporting injuries that commonly present in the school setting.
- Be an interactive and practical teaching day, encouraging problem solving and ‘hands-on’ practice.
This course is an extension of the musculoskeletal injury training carried out in the level 3 course. It delivers teaching around common sporting injuries, growing pains, diagnostics and injury management over longer periods to ensure consolidation of knowledge. It does not include teaching on concussion, head injuries or ‘medical-setting’ issues.

Cost for this intensive re-fresher day training course: £140
Level 1 – Sports Injury Management for Schools
This course is aimed at teaching staff who undertake sports coaching, and are involved in sports teams.
Its core objectives are to:
- Ensure staff have key knowledge and skills to manage serious sporting injuries such as spinal trauma and head injuries/concussion whilst pitch side.
- Teach staff simple techniques in making decisions as to when a player can and cannot continue playing sport.
- Teach staff about common sporting injuries and their implications.
It is understood that schools have varying degrees of first aid cover during match days and therefore demands on staff will differ. As a result, this course can be tailor-made to the school’s requirements. Costs may therefore change depending on demands and time required to deliver the teaching.
