Acupuncture treatment for pain and injuries
Acupuncture is used to treat a range of conditions including back and neck pain, arthritis and acute and chronic pain.
Conventional acupuncture involves placing single-use disposable needles in specific points around the body. The physiotherapist will determine the location of these points on the basis of an assessment, and the results required. A number of needles can be used in each treatment, and are typically left in position for 15 – 20 minutes.
At Modus Physiotherapy in Crowthorne our therapists are trained to carry out both conventional and traditional Chinese acupuncture as part of the clinics multi-dimensional approach to treating injuries.

"I can safely say the assessment and treatment I received at Modus is the best physio service I have ever had. Following a thorough assessment I was educated as to what was wrong, given some hands on treatment and exercises for home. Thank you so much."
"Both Adam & Philippa have looked after my 4 children over the past 6-years, and being rugby boys they have brought various challenges. Each time they have delivered excellent care and I feel safe knowing they are being cared for to the highest standards."
"I took my 12 year old daughter to Modus and was so relieved to know they had expertise in treating children. They picked up on her hip injury straight away and referred us to a specialist. This is in spite of having seen previous physio’s who had told us completely different things. Thank you."
