Though most physiotherapists can effectively treat a variety of sporting injuries, it takes specialist knowledge to accurately diagnose and treat children. This is largely due to the child’s developing body still undergoing growth and maturity. As a result, children often present with conditions which are often missed by even experienced therapists.
At Modus physiotherapy we understand the importance of getting specialist help when seeking a diagnosis for your child, which is why we have enrolled two of the most experienced therapists in the area at treating children’s sporting injuries.
Adam Eustace is a leading professional in the assessment and treatment of adolescent injuries. He has worked with young athletes at the highest levels in various sports including; triathlon, ballet, gymnastics and rugby; and presented at various conferences. Being the lead physiotherapist at Wellington College School, he treats adolescents on a daily basis, and understands the differences not only in diagnosing children’s injuries, but also how to effectively treat them.
Also part of the Wellington College School team is Elinor Young. Eli has over 7-years’ experience working with children, being involved in both the school system, rugby and gymnastics. Having a keen interest in the effects of child development and injuries, Eli is currently completing her university Masters on the subject.
